Futy

FUTY is a next-gen fantasy football app where users build weekly 7-a-side Premier League teams, apply strategic boosts, and compete for rewards all in a fast-paced, skill-based format.

The request

The client came to us with a bold idea: create a fan engagement platform for the English Premier League that blends live stats, news, and a fantasy-style game all in one place. Backed by pre-seed funding, they were ready to launch in the UK and expand across Europe. We were brought on to handle the full product design from scratch starting with the mobile app and later extending to a Telegram Mini App.

They were very helpful and communicated proactively, and they seamlessly integrated our brand guidelines into the UI. They helped us out with things which were even beyond their scope. They also were very friendly for a dynamic startup environment - so any dynamic changes were incorporated.

The Process

1

Kick-off & Feature Planning

We began by aligning on the product’s core idea, user goals, and launch priorities. This included defining key features and outlining the roadmap together with the client.

2

UX Research

We explored similar apps, user behavior, and football fan expectations. This helped us form design hypotheses and identify what matters most to the target audience.

3

Concept Exploration

We quickly visualized a few layout and interaction ideas to test direction early. After gathering initial feedback, we clarified structure and usability priorities.

4

UX Design

With insights in hand, we mapped user flows and built detailed wireframes for the main features - ensuring clarity in logic and flow before jumping into visuals.

5

UI Exploration

We ran a short visual evaluation phase to test typography, iconography, and overall style, making sure it matched the client’s vision and brand tone.

6

UI Design

After alignment, we designed all mobile screens — leveraging reusable components and maintaining consistency across the experience to speed up development.

7

Handoff

Design files were delivered with clear structure and annotations. We walked the dev team through interactions and behaviors to support smooth implementation.

8

Design Support

We stayed involved post-handoff — updating pages based on feedback, refining the design system, and supporting feature extensions like the Telegram Mini App.
